On April 28, 2024, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) published an article under the headline “German lawyers in Asia: Forever abroad – Why ten German lawyers in Asia have built their very special professional network – from India to Japan.” published an article about the Alliance of German Business Lawyers in Asia (ADWA) in the print edition of the newspaper.
The article emphasizes the unique features of the ADWA network: In every Asian country that is part of the network, a German-speaking colleague (native speaker) has their own law firm or heads the German Desk in a local law firm – and the law firms are independent of each other. It also emphasizes the special feature of the network that it was not set up by large international law firms.
The FAZ had previously invited ADWA lawyers Michael Mueller, Jörg Schendel and Andreas Respondek to the publishing house in Frankfurt for a discussion about the ADWA network.
